Texas Lending (TexasLending.com) reports that at one time, an unhappy customer simply complained to a few friends about his or her experience. Perhaps those friends told a few others, who repeated the story to a few more. However, today’s dissatisfied consumer can go online to the Internet, where words remain posted long after the customer has moved on. In this brief article, TexasLending.com CEO Kevin Miller talks to Interviewing Experts about this new world of online review sites and how it is impacting the business world as a whole.

Interviewing Experts: Texas Lending has a good reputation in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The governor and the mayor of Dallas have both recognized you for your excellence.

Texas Lending: Yes, Texas Lending received a Consumer’s Choice Award from the Consumers’ Choice Institute, which led to recognition by both the governor and mayor for our accomplishment.

Interviewing Experts: Yet even Texas Lending has the occasional negative review online. Explain how a bad review can haunt a business for many years.

Texas Lending: No successful business is immune from the occasional bad review online. Our team at Texas Lending follows up with customers at each stage of the process, including a follow-up survey once the loan has closed. Still, there are times when even after a Texas Lending customer reports a satisfactory experience, he or she goes online to post a negative review.

Interviewing Experts: Why wouldn’t the customer just talk to you first?

Texas Lending: Studies have shown the majority of customers never report dissatisfaction directly to the company. Sometimes the customer wants to avoid confrontation, but Texas Lending wants each customer to be happy. Most often, Texas Lending has found that the customer isn’t unhappy with us specifically but is dissatisfied with the overall process of securing a home loan.

Interviewing Experts: Doesn’t Texas Lending work with several other parties in processing a loan?

Texas Lending: Yes, and that can be part of the issue. The biggest component in processing a loan is the borrower. Our consumers must gather all necessary paperwork and work with us to help us complete applications. A delay in this part of the process can delay the work Texas Lending has to do. Then there are appraisers and the title company, as well as working with the seller to make sure the closing is set up and runs smoothly. Any delay in this process can cause the consumer to become frustrated with Texas Lending – or any mortgage lender.

Interviewing Experts: I’ve noticed the majority of Texas Lending’s clients give extremely positive reviews.

Texas Lending: Most of our clients report they are pleasantly surprised by the personal service they received from Texas Lending. Texas Lending also frequently receives glowing comments from customers who were able to move into their first home because of the hard work of our associates. That’s the greatest reward of all.

Interviewing Experts: You recently debuted Communi-T 2.0 at the SAPPHIRENOW in Orlando, Florida. What changes can users expect in this new version?

Dan Sciscente: Like many software solution providers, Communi-T is turning its focus to mobile distribution throught web mobile and web services.

Interviewing Experts: For those who missed the conference, Dan Sciscente announced that some users would be able to develop their own applications with Communi-T 2.0.

Dan Sciscente: Yes, upgraded users will be able to develop their own applications using the web services SDK that is included in Communi-T 2.0, as well as experience the faster performance of the 2.0 version.

Interviewing Experts: One of the best things about Communi-T has been its quick installation.

Dan Sciscente: We’ve always impressed our customers with the fact that Communi-T is an “out of the box” solution. In most cases, our customers are able to have the product installed and in full use within the first day.

Interviewing Experts: Plus, unlike other software solutions, Communi-T doesn’t require additional software to run…

Dan Sciscente: Correct. Some SAP software packages require something called “middleware” to function properly. Not Communi-T. Not only is no additional software required, but Communi-T’s customization capabilities allow businesses to truly make our software their own.

Interviewing Experts: One of the things your customers speak about is the fact that your software is so user-friendly. Will Communi-T 2.0 continue this tradition?

Dan Sciscente: Like its predecessor, Communi-T 2.0 still offers easy-to-use screens, document management system (DMS), SharePoint/ Portal integration and full of other feature that are geared specifically toward making the experience more pleasant for users.

The God’s Luv International Ministries Church pastor took time out of his busy schedule to speak to Interviewing Experts about how he helps his God’s Luv International Ministries Church members to progress to the next level in their spiritual journey.

Interviewing Experts: In listening to a recent God’s Luv International Ministries Church sermon, you cleared up one misconception I’ve had—that once someone is saved, there’s no way he or she can get stuck in his or her spiritual journey.

Dr. Pierre Bennett: As I regularly tell my congregation at God’s Luv International Ministries Church, it’s all about casting away those old thoughts and beliefs that are holding us back in our journey.

Interviewing Experts: But as you said in your sermon at God’s Luv International Ministries Church, it’s important for followers to keep trying and working at it, even when it becomes difficult.

Dr. Pierre Bennett: Especially when it becomes difficult. The alternative to continuing to try is to stay stuck, and that’s no alternative at all.

Interviewing Experts: What happens when someone stays stuck?

Dr. Pierre Bennett: You see it all the time—at God’s Luv International Ministries Church and at churches all over this great country of ours. There are people who get stuck and stay stuck. They attend church every Sunday, all their lives, and never quite get to the promise.

Interviewing Experts: But how could that happen?

Dr. Pierre Bennett: Easy. As the God’s Luv International Ministries Church members here will attest, some people accept Jesus as their Savior, but they never quite turn everything over to him. They can’t let go of all that old junk that is tying them to their worldly selves.

Interviewing Experts: Because they want to continue living in sin?

Dr. Pierre Bennett: Sin, a vision of what a person thinks they want their life to be—it can vary from person to person. What we’ve found at God’s Luv International Ministries Church is that unless someone lets go of all of those worldly things and gives it over to God, they’ll remain stuck.

Interviewing Experts: But even after your congregation members at God’s Luv International Ministries Church have reached that level of enlightenment, there still will be bumps in the road, right?

Dr. Pierre Bennett: Trials and tribulations are a part of life. I tell my brothers and sisters at God’s Luv International Ministries Church to expect them. These  tests, great and small, serve to strengthen you in your faith and make you a better person. Many of those tests come from the enemy, but He will be there to protect you and get you through it.

Interviewing Experts: We hear a lot about “backsliding believers.” How do you prepare your congregation at God’s Luv International Ministries Church for that?

Dr. Pierre Bennett: I use the example of using profanity. Some of my God’s Luv International Ministries Church members have vowed to kick that habit, but of course, that doesn’t mean they’ll never slip up. But there may come a day when you feel a heavy temptation to cuss again. I urge my members at God’s Luv International Ministries Church to prepare for it and pray their way through it. He can move you past that temptation and onto the next level, if only you’ll turn it over to Him.

Interviewing Experts Discusses How To Plan a World Class Party Inexpensively

When planning a wedding reception, baby shower or corporate event, most people want to evoke a type of mystery that sets them a class-above, but which is difficult for anyone to exactly pinpoint. We all know the type of party – one that’s difficult to leave and makes every guest feel that the party was practically crafted with them – and only them – in mind. Today, Interviewing Experts has some tips for people who want to jazz up their party repertoire.

First of all, the perfect host or hostess will have a good quality cocktail shaker. The perfect shaken cocktail is exponentially better than anything that can come out of a blender. If possible, find one with a glass attachment. Very basic cocktail shakers can be found for around ten dollars and the higher end models can be up to fifty dollars. However, what ever a person’s price range – a cocktail shaker is a must.

Nice serving trays are important too. They can help set the tone of the party from black tie, to relaxed and rustic. Instead of scouring big name stores, this is the perfect place to let creativity lend a hand. When searching garage sales this summer look for old chests of drawers that are inexpensive. If they have shallow drawers, they can be easily converted into serving trays, either by papering them or painting them. Also, serving trays can be found at thrift shops and second hand stores.

And last but not least, don’t overlook the lighting. Harsh overhead lights have no place in a social situation, but guests also don’t want to have to rely on their sense of touch to find the appetizers, either. So there is a very large middle ground that can be filled in with lights and candles.

If spending extra money for new fixtures isn’t in the budget, opt for low wattage white spiral energy efficient bulbs. Or, even something unusual like “stained glass” bulbs. The different colors can make an elegant presentation in the right lamp.

Candles don’t just need to be tapered and on a table. They can be specialty candles, votive candles, or tea lights. Floating candles can be stunning on a food table, and because they have a low center of gravity, they’re not only lovely – they’re also practical.

Hopefully these tips will help hosts and hostesses give their next party a little boost and mystery that will make their guests never want to leave. Within reason of course!
